Networking & Information Groups

Georgia Tech created several Networking and Information groups designed to provide accounting and finance staff members with pertinent information.  Staff members may automatically be assigned to some groups after attending a financial training course, but for other groups, they will need to subscribe to the group or be invited by the financial leadership team.  Click on the link below to find information related to these groups.

Networking Group Name

Purpose

Administrative Network

The Administrative Network (Adminet) is an informational networking group created to meet regularly to discuss updates and initiative on campus. 

Business Directors Forum (BDF)

The Business Directors' Forum (BDF) is a monthly meeting of academic, research and administrative business directors as well as individuals and units leading important operations and programs at the Institute. Meetings serve to provide a forum for exchange of ideas on new and existing business processes and initiatives, networking, sharing best practices, identification of future opportunities for improvement, and regular campus updates.

Business Partners Network (BPN)

The Business Partners’ Network (BPN) is a quarterly gathering of finance, personnel, and administrative leaders across campus. The agenda includes timely information on strategic initiatives, opportunities for networking and sharing best practices, and a forum for raising ideas and opportunities for improvement across Georgia Tech's business and operations.

Asset Management & Property Control

The Asset Management (AM) Property Coordinators group provides updates related to Assets, Annual Inventory and Property Control Training. 

Budget Revisions

The Budget Revisions List group provides notification related to the Budget Revisions application.

Campus PCard (CPC) Journal Entries

The Campus PCard (CPC) group provides notifications related to financial system accessibility and changes, CPC compliance reviews and issues related to the CPC journal entry application for CPC users.

Electronic Cost Transfer Journal Entries

The Electronic Cost Transfer (ECT) group provides notifications related to financial system accessibility and changes and issues related to the ECT journal entry application for ECT users.

General Ledger

The General Ledger (GL) group provides notifications related to financial system accessibility and changes, month end close, year-end close and reporting for general ledger users.

Human Resources

The Human Resources (HR)/Payroll group provides notifications related to HR system accessibility and changes as well as important HR and Payroll information and initiatives.

Salary Planning and Distribution

The Salary Planning & Distribution (SPD) group provides notifications related to financial system accessibility and changes, month end close, year-end close, Annual Statement of Reasonableness (ASR) and Electronic Workload Assignment (eWAF) for SPD users.

Web Grants Management

The Web Management Group provides notifications related to financial system accessibility and changes, month end close, year-end close and the Project Expenditure and Budget (PEB) report for grants and contract users.
